Team Need for Speed and Fredric Aasbo take home the GOLD at Formula Drift UAE Invitational!

It’s finally official – and I couldn’t be more stoked! I have become a part of the Need for Speed family, and will pilot the Team Need For Speed Scion tC for the 2011 Formula Drift championship…
Fredric Aasbo Joins Team Need for Speed, Scion Racing and Papadakis Racing!
Fredric Aasbo had a great 2010 Formula Drift season finishing in 13th place and voted Formula D’s “Rookie of the Year”. Joining forces with Need for Speed and Papadakis Racing will make for an even better season for the all-out, foot-to-the-floor drifter. “Being brought onboard by the Need for Speed family and to partner with Papadakis Racing is more than a dream come true – it’s the opportunity of a lifetime,” says Fredric. “I feel extremely honored and I could not feel more inspired! I have huge shoes to fill, following in the footsteps of my idol Tanner Foust, but I can assure you I will give it all I’ve got – and then some – in the 2011 Formula Drift Championship piloting the Team Need for Speed Scion tC.“

On the weekend of October 8th-9th, Fredric Aasbo and Team Japan Auto FSR took part in the Formula Drift Finals at the legendary Toyota Speedway in Irwindale, California.

After the big crash in Las Vegas, Team Japan Auto FSR got it together and gave it all at Formula Drift Round 6 in Sonoma!

After two strong rookie outings in Formula Drift, Fredric and Team Japan Auto FSR went all in at Formula Drift Las Vegas on August 20th-21st!

Los Angeles, California: Fredric Aasbo (Team Japan Auto FSR) takes out Championship Leader Vaughn Gittin Jr. at Formula Drift Round 4: Throwdown, Seattle and gets nicknamed “Champ Killer” in the process!

We just got back from a great weekend at the Arctic Circle Raceway summer meet! We went all the way up north to test the new single turbo tune, and man – it pulls!!

I always look forward to the GATEBIL season kickoff, and this weekend proved why!
GATEBIL Vålerbanen was set to be the debut of the rebuilt Japan Auto Supra. I had been looking forward to the event throughout the off-season, and despite us being a bit low on power and not getting the single turbo setup ready in time, I couldn’t have been more eager to go out there.
