2011 was a crazy year. Ups and downs, trials and tribulations – 2011 had it all!
It was my first year as a Need for Speed athlete, and my first year as a Scion Racing driver and my first year of working with Papadakis Racing. All in all, a lot of things were new, but luckily the things of importance stayed the same. I am very grateful to still be able to work with the people that have helped me out over the years with Japan Auto.

On September 4th, Fredric Aasbo and Team Need for Speed Japan Auto were able to clinch the victory at United Kingdom’s biggest drifting event: The TRAX/British Drift Championship Super Pro Finals at the Silverstone F1 Circuit.

It felt amazing to be back at the annual Gatebil main festival! Rod, Larry, Miki and Paddy from Team Need for Speed joined in, and I got to meet friends I never see anymore as well as make new friends. And the new Rudskogen track is simply incredibly fun…

Norwegian media power house Dagbladet is launching a 15 episode long web TV series documenting Fredric’s life in Los Angeles. The TV series goes behind the scenes on one guy and his wingman giving it all they’ve got to compete with the best in the world’s toughest drifting series: Formula DRIFT.

As the sun set over Southern California last Monday, the spotlights came on outside the Far East Café. The popular club was host to Scion Racing’s annual drift program reveal, and the 2011 Team Need for Speed Scion tC was showcased to the public and media for the first time ever!
